Minimum participation for this group: swimmers must be 8 years of age or younger and able to swim one length of the pool of both backstroke and freestyle without assistance. Meets are encouraged, and should be fun. Inter-squad meets are a great place to start.

Similar to the 8 & Under group, the primary focus is developing skills, stroke mechanics, coordination and comfort in the water. Bronze swimmers begin to do a bit more swimming in preparation for the Silver Group. Meets are encouraged in part as they need to meet certain times in order to advance to the Silver Group. This group practices 4 times a week for an hour each practice.

Meets are strongly encouraged and swimmers need to meet certain time requirements at meets in order to advance to the Gold Group. This group practices 6 times a week for 90 minutes each practice.

The group practices 6 times a week for 2 and a quarter hours each practice.
