Dear WAVE Community,
The WAVE Governing Board is looking for some help. How can YOU help? I’m glad you asked! We are currently recruiting new Board members and are looking for people who are passionate about the WAVE community and culture and willing to work together as a team to lead WAVE into a successful future.
What does the WAVE Governing Board do? We play an important role with the WAVE community and are responsible for:
Defining the vision and mission for the whole of the WAVE organization.
Strategic planning and future growth for all of our programming.
Overseeing and supporting the Executive Director.
Assurance of organizational performance across everything that WAVE offers.
Do you want to help WAVE grow and continue to provide aquatic programming on the Eastside?
Do you or does someone you know have a background in law and/or non-profits OR just want to contribute to WAVE’s success?
If you answered yes to the above questions, please think about applying to join the Board. If you know anyone that you think would be a good fit for the WAVE board, please encourage them to apply. The WAVE board consists of community members that would like to contribute to the success of WAVE and believe in the importance of aquatic programming, they do not need to be/have family members enrolled in any particular program with WAVE.
Joining the Board is a 2 year commitment. If you are interested in applying for a position, please send me an email (cari.brumfield@waveaquaticsboard.org) with a short statement of why you're interested in the Board, and what skills and experiences you'll bring.
All statements are due by July 20, 2022. If you are selected to continue in the process, interviews will be held.
