We fulfill our mission by offering a variety of high quality, safe and accessible aquatics programming for all ages and abilities.
About Wave Aquatics
Wave Aquatics is a nonprofit aquatics organization that has served the Eastside Seattle–King County community since 1986. From swim lessons and competitive teams to public swim and masters programming, Wave offers something for every age and ability across its two aquatic centers and programs.
Our Impact
Wave Aquatics is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides a range of public aquatics programs and facilities management services to Eastside Seattle-King County residents to enhance health, fitness, safety, recreation, and quality of life through our values of inclusion, safety and education, integrity and respect, sportsmanship and fun, sustainability, community collaboration, and excellence.
Founded
Founded in 1986, the organization began when Northshore, Redmond, and Totem Lake swim teams merged in order to provide more opportunity and a stronger foundation for swimmers in the Lake Washington and Northshore school district areas.
Facilities
Wave has operated the Juanita Aquatics Center at Juanita High School in Kirkland since 2009, and the Redmond Pool on Education Hill since 2010.
Community Impact
Wave's programs serve thousands of Eastside residents of all ages annually through our swim team, swim lessons, masters swim team, fitness & wellness programs, recreational swimming, and pool rentals.
With Eastside pool capacity rapidly falling behind population growth, Wave Aquatics is the proven leader in aquatics management poised to partner with local governments to solve this problem by refurbishing and expanding facilities.
