Outgoing Head Coach Andy Pym has accepted a new coaching position in Iowa and his last day will be this coming Sunday, September 30. We would like to thank Andy for his contributions to Wave, and are delighted to have Chad step into the Interim Head Coach role.
"All of us wish Coach Andy the best, as he moves onto Central Iowa Aquatics," Chad remarked. "We appreciate all the hard work and insight that Andy has put into helping our Wave Swim Team move forward."
Chad's brings 15 years of coaching experience, including several head coach positions. Previously, Chad was the Head Coach for the Ketchikan Killer Whales Swim Club. He started out in coaching as the Head Satellite Coach for the Cincinnati Marlins. Chad has also coached a number of summer clubs and high school teams over the years. As I've gotten to know Chad during my short tenure at Wave, I've been impressed by his passion and commitment to our swimmers, communication style, and strategic thinking. I look forward to working closely with him in the months ahead.
