Little Breakers
1. Bubbles
Bubbles is for beginners with no background in swimming, and not yet comfortable in the water. Students will learn how to submerge their face comfortably, how to perform basic pulling and kicking movements, and how to "monkey walk" along the edge of the pool. Students must be at least 3 years old to register for Bubbles.
2. Ripples
Ripples is for beginners who are comfortable submerging their face, kicking and pulling with teacher assistance, and hanging on to the side of the pool without assistance. Students will learn to glide along the surface of the water for 5 feet, swim a half-length of the pool using head bobs without assistance, and float and kick on their back with assistance.
3. Tides
Tides is for students who can glide 5 feet in a streamlined body position, swim a half-length of the pool with head bobs, and float and kick on their back one length of the pool with assistance. Students will learn to bob in head-high water, swim one length of the pool with freestyle arms, perform survival floats, and float and kick on their back one length of the pool without assistance.
4. Swells
Swells is for students who can swim one length of the pool using head bobs, perform survival floats, float and kick on their back one length of the pool, and perform 10 bobs in head-high water. Students will learn catch-up freestyle and breathing on their back, elementary backstroke, kicking on their side one length of the pool, and underwater swimming a half-length of the pool.
Big Waves​
5. Rogues
Rogues is for students who can swim catch-up freestyle with breathing on their back and elementary backstroke one length of the pool each, kick on their side one length of the pool, and swim underwater a half-length of the pool. Students will learn to swim freestyle with no catch-up arms and side breathing one length of the pool, backstroke one length of the pool, and transition from elementary backstroke to breaststroke kick.
6. Jaws
Jaws is for students who can swim proper freestyle with side breathing for one length of the pool, backstroke for one length of the pool, and a perform a basic breaststroke kick. Students will learn how to swim freestyle with bilateral breathing 2 lengths of the pool, backstroke 2 lengths of the pool, breaststroke 2 lengths of the pool.
7. Mavericks
Mavericks is for students who can swim freestyle with bilateral breathing 2 lengths of the pool, backstroke 2 lengths of the pool and breaststroke 2 lengths of the pool. Students will obtain mastery of freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke, and swim at least 4 lengths of the pool each stroke. They will also learn to swim the butterfly stroke 2 lengths of the pool.
