Class Levels
Floating & Immersion
This class is designed for the very novice swimmer with little to no swimming experience, as well as anyone looking to conquer their fears of water. Floating & Immersion focuses on becoming comfortable in the water, water safety skills, and basic swimming posture.
This class is taught in shallow water 3ft-4.5ft

Momentum & Movement
This class is designed to help swimmers understand momentum in the water, via effective kicking and proper body position, as well as developing effective breath control and body awareness.
To register for Momentum & Movement, students should be comfortable floating and gliding a short distance on their front and back, alternating between a front float to a back float, submerging underwater, treading water with assistance, and flutter kicking on the wall or with a kick board.
This class is taught in shallow water 3ft-4.5ft

Skills & Strokes I
This class is designed to introduce proper Freestyle and Backstroke technique. Swimmers will be working to improve their body position, kick and stroke efficiency and also master air exchange while swimming.
To register for Skills & Strokes I, students should be able to scull one pool width on their front and back, glide and flutter kick on their front, side and back, and swim underwater to retrieve an object from 4 ft depth, 10 ft away.
This class is taught in shallow water 3ft-4.5ft

Skills & Strokes II
This class is designed to introduce proper swimming terminology, improve Freestyle and Backstroke technique and introduce Breaststroke and Butterfly technique.
To register for Skills & Strokes II, students should be able to tread water for 60 seconds, side flutter kick with breathing, swim freestyle two pool lengths with side breathing, swim backstroke two pool lengths, and glide in a streamline position underwater for 10 ft.
This class is taught in deep water 5ft-14ft

Conditioning & Workouts
This class is designed to introduce physical conditioning and swimming as a sport. Our focus will be in fine tuning all 4 competitive strokes (Free, Back, Breast and Fly) as well as introducing advanced swimming techniques such as: kickouts, breakouts, Breaststroke pull-outs, flip/open turns, and starts.
To register for conditioning & Workouts, students must be able to swim 50 yds freestyle with bi-lateral side-breathing, 50 yds backstroke, 50 yds breaststroke, and 25 yds dolphin kick with fins.
